Stay Reserved, Beauty was a wholesale improvement over Flirty Landlord and Gorgeous Tenants. It took baby steps towards becoming a regular dating sim. Unfortunately the developer’s third game, Ladies’ Haven, is a step backward. Although more lewd with plentiful underwear, it is boring with few positives.

You play as a prominent gynecologist and deal with a variety of women’s issues: painful breasts, high sensitivity, leaking problems, swollen butt, and flat chest. On the surface, you keep it professional and deny their advances in the name of ethics. But you perform examinations and treatments that would make a malpractice lawyer cry. Groping is common and, later, there is simulated sex.

The biggest problem is that it is just incredibly boring. Unlike their previous game, it lacks conflict in the story. It adopts a rigid structure where each woman comes and goes in a linear sequence. Only near the end do they appear on screen together. It is also verbose. Each woman tells you their problem, how it affects them, asks for help, initially refuses the unorthodox treatment, and then acquiesces. The screenwriter needed a huge scalpel to cut away all the fat.

Translation is not good. Sexual connotations and innuendos are rife. Some translate into bizarre but funny euphemisms, and others just fly right on by. Even when ignoring these hard-to-translate terms, just basic conversations are clunky with regular name issues.

If you are here for the groping and lewd activities then you might not care. Once again there is a lot of grabbing butts and breasts. The hand model is more aggressive and daring, which is generally appreciated. Repetitive groping over clothes is dull though, and many sessions last for ages. Much of the game was viewed at 1.5x speed because it is slow and, unlike the last game, skipping is only available after you have watched a scene.

Fortunately it does frequently show off underwear. Women get undressed for cures, showing lacy bras and bottoms. One memorable scene involved rubbing the inner thighs of a sensitive patient with clear gel which made part of her underwear translucent. This is about as close as you can get to nudity without crossing the line. It is no wonder they had censorship issues just before release.

The five women are attractive and they all suffer through fondling while staying focused on their moaning. Video quality is good, audio is live recorded, and there are close-ups without egregious face filters. But overall, this is just a coser game with more context. Sexiness is minimal, because it’s too crude with a boring setup. Romance is missing; love left the building with the clinic’s legal team.

Players that just want to see women in various stages of undress being grabbed all over may find that Ladies’ Haven will hold their attention. But it is hard to let go of the advances the last game made towards becoming a game that would let us have our cake and eat it too.
