Lucky Me listed on Steam

The developers behind Rebooted Fate have listed their next game on Steam. Lucky Me sees players join a travel dating show as the only male contestant. It features four love interests and is due out in Q4, 2026. The game is called Sorry, I'm the Only Male Contestant in China (抱歉,只有我一个男嘉宾) but the English name is a little simpler. It was also previously called "Male Contestant" in the original casting call.

A live-action interactive romance. Lin Yu joins a travel dating show as its only male contestant after failing his exams. Meet four women in first person, shape relationships through dates and choices, and discover multiple endings. Is the love on camera real?

Mountain&Sea Studio are helping put this one on Steam and the game will support English. The trailer above features live audio recording but that may change between now and release, if they decide to record lines in a studio.

Actress Xu Xiuping (许修萍) aka KRIX, who was in Rebooted Fate, is in this new game as Lin Feifei. She is joined by Liu Yutong (刘彧彤), Guo Jing (郭静) and Li Kexin (李可馨). Actress Guo Jing was also in Director Simulator. Here she plays Wang Yuqing. Lucky Me was filmed back in late June and early July this year. The turnaround is a little faster than Rebooted Fate which took over a year from filming to release.

Lily: The Camera's Darling

Wang Yuqing: The Woman Behind the Camera

Liu Xiaotian: Gentle and reserved

Lin Feifei: The Stranger You Know Best

Sparks on Camera, Sincerity Behind the Scenes

Setting Off for Love is a dating show. The production team needs sweet interactions, talking points that excite the audience, and an ending that looks good on screen. But real feelings don't always follow a script. When a contestant smiles for the camera, something else may be on her mind. When the crew calls “That's a wrap,” some stories are only just beginning. You'll keep facing choices both on and off camera:

Will you complete the romantic task planned by the crew, or attend to how she really feels?

Will you help her attract more attention, or let her forget the cameras for a while?

Will you choose the person the audience thinks is your perfect match, or the person who truly sees you?
