Previously due out in July, Shao Song has been delayed a short time into August. There is no firm date yet but the developers will update when they can confirm. Shao Song will feature some battle gameplay, where players control units. It is adapted from Liu Dan Pa Shui’s novel of the same name. They also uploaded a new trailer.

The new trailer shows zero romance, which is partly to be expected given the novel it is based on, despite the fact that it has a few prominent FMV romance stars. The developer’s previous game, Conquer the World, was also focused on military strategy and war, but it still featured a large amount of romance because it was also a very long game. It remains to be seen if the same will also be true for Shao Song but it seems unlikely.
