This one does just enough to earn a recommendation, but it is right on the borderline. First problem is translation. 5-10% of the English translation is completely missing. Twice as much as that again is either badly timed or hard to comprehend (not just pronoun issues).

There were multiple disconnects while playing, especially during the finales, which prevents watching scenes. And this online component also means if you go back and skip through videos quickly, expect it to hang. Audio is also inconsistent for the player character. Sometimes it sounds like he’s in a bathtub on the bottom of the ocean, and other times like he put a megaphone in your ear and set it to max.

The story okay but fairly linear and not that funny. You do have the choice to go invisible, read minds, or charm others, but this magical power aspect is way undeveloped. Many times you can refuse going somewhere with admirers but they end up convincing you anyway so the exact same events happen. There are some major branching paths at least, so it’s not entirely linear. Length is fine: it will take about 3 hours first time and another 1-2 to see every scene.

Good news is that the 6 admirers are decent, albeit fairly predictable personality wise. Some don’t really get enough screen time, and this is especially true with a few poor endings. The story does the bare minimum when it comes with maintaining continuity and logic, but it at least it creates somewhat believable meetings and interactions. It does feel like scenes are missing though. High affection ratings are needed for the good endings, and while this isn’t too hard to achieve, affection changes have no numerical value so might need to do a bit of shuffling.

Video quality is decent, sometimes good. One handy feature is the presence of a timeline for videos, letting you scroll back if need be. Audio for the admirers is mostly good and pretty much all the actresses do a great job. Some characters seemed a bit inconsistent (e.g. dancer who is clumsy) but nothing too annoying. Overall there are better FMV dating games out there but it does enough.
