Re2 I Rise Alone is launching on November 13. Players can try the demo on Steam. It was recently updated to feature in Next Fest and offers about one hour of content. The team behind Re2 were filming some more content for it as recently as September. You can see more details about the game in the news update on Steam.
Re2 I Rise Alone is one of the few games on Steam where you play as yourself, not a preset character. Most games handle this by giving players nicknames or role names. A new trailer was also released for the announcement.
The game breaks away from the single model of traditional interactive film games—"video playback + choices"—and adopts a system of map exploration + RPG progression + action point planning. Improve attributes such as strength, charm, and intelligence through dialogue and events; different attributes affect the story's direction and ending. Freely explore the city map and unlock main quests, side quests, and even hidden missions. Earn money by working, investing, and completing tasks; buy items and equipment and improve your own strength—this will determine your final ending.
Veteran actresses Yan Ran (KOKL2), Zhang Ying (Rebooted Fate), and Qiao Yaona (Soul Touch) are in the game. There are 10+ love interests total, including your boss, colleague, landlady and more. It will also be one of the largest installs, requiring about 110GB of free space.
