The Fame Game: Welcome to Hollywood is coming out September 5, 2025. Interactive Films revealed this date a few days ago via Discord and by updating the Steam store page. The store page indicates it will release at 17:00 UTC on the 4th, which is 1am on September 5 in China.
The Fame Game is the first English speaking game in the style of the Chinese dating sims, although several Chinese dating sims have included English-speaking characters. You play as Jonathan, an extra who gets cast into the main role of the country’s hottest TV show.
The game features 7 love interests, including the leading actress, your long-term friend (ans assistant), a producer, a writer, the make-up artist, the caterer, and a waitress. Choices affect relationship and your rise to stardom.
Although filmed in America with English dialogue, The Fame Game is heavily aiming for the Chinese audience as can be seen with their recent wishlist competition and social media posting on douyin. This make sense given how big the genre there. Currently the game only supports Chinese and English text.
