A new FMV romance game from LumaGate Games was listed on Steam a few days ago. Roommate Lover: Love in Progress will feature four love interests and they will come to stay at the apartment you rent out. No release date was given but the listing does come with a new trailer.
《Roommate Lovers: Love in Progress》is a first-person live-action video dating game. In the story, you’ll experience choices and challenges in both your career and personal life alongside four beautiful women.
The story is set against a realistic workplace and everyday life backdrop. You’ll play a young urbanite with a hidden identity, renting out an extra room in your apartment to alleviate the pressure of a mortgage. By chance, you’ll spark romances with your female boss (Yang Yan), a dance streamer tenant (An Xiaotang), your college sweetheart working as a housekeeper (Li Zhixuan), and your childhood friend next door (Lin Xia).
The store page says the game will support English, Japanese and Korean, along with the native Chinese. Many of the screenshots show interface, including choices and video control buttons. While it is possible these are mock-ups, taking them on face value means this game is probably only 1-2 months away from release.
