Another FMV game has appeared on Steam. Mandate Of Heaven is a third-person live-action experience that features “thousands of decisions” and will involve relationships.

You will become the second prince of the Xuan Kingdom, a regime that has migrated south. Faced with the dilemma of Wu Nu entrenched in the north and the imperial court’s internal struggle, you are determined to conquer your homeland and reclaim the land of China.
Although there is no direction mention of romance, the screenshots seem to indicate there will be some. The promotional images feature four female characters in a prominent position which indicates they will be major players. And the trailer shows several interactions with them.
One of those women is Xiang Weijing, who was also in Breaker of Fatalism and Vanity Fair: The Pursuit. Another is Liu Xinnian, who was also in Vanity Fair: The Pursuit and will be in the upcoming Director, Please Give More Guidance. The developers also made Vanity Fair: The Pursuit.
English was not listed on the store page, although Vanity Fair does have English support. A demo for Mandate of Heaven will be released on the 15th of this month so it is likely the full game will be out this year.
