Another new FMV romance game was added to Steam today. This one was filmed on location back in March this year
The Chinese name is “荒岛求生：逃出美女岛” and the English name (from the image subtitle) is quite poor. It would have been better to take the second part and simply call it Escape from Beauty Island. In any case, English is not supported according to the listing. The store page text is probably AI translated, but maybe English will come later.
The game promises survival elements, including “Material Collection”+”Prop Synthesis” The last few paragraphs are interesting. “We have decided to take survival as the main storyline, use item synthesis as the main gameplay, hide the favorability system, and let girls attack the male lead instead of the male lead attacking girls. This is an innovative exploration of interactive video games.” Although the translation is rough, ‘attack’ in this context might mean they’re pursuing the male lead romantically. This is not original but with the survival elements, it would indeed appear to do things differently.
The game stars well-known actresses from titles like (L to R) Love is All Around 2, Game of Fate 1 Knowledge or Know Lady 2, Superscout, NEW, and Proud to Love. The newcomer is a car model.
Q4 release is possible, but early next year could be more likely given how many games are seeing delays during the Steam review process.
