Hau Manlou《花滿樓》is due out in two weeks. Below are the six love interests and the actresses behind each one. Character bios are summaries of the casting call from August 2025, so there might be changes in the final game. The various trailers do seem to align with the character personalities though and some things were left out to avoid revealing too much. Li Wuyou (李无忧) – played by Liu Sicheng (刘思辰)
Li Wuyou is a fiery warrior that seeks to end injustice. She protects others but has never had anybody to protect her.
Liu Sicheng has been in some big budget costume dramas and won a best actress award in 2023. She was the female lead in《妙绝好姻缘》An Indelible Destiny (2024). She also played a demon in the《西游降魔篇之快活城》Journey to the West: The Helltown of Heaven (2025). The second one is a dark-fantasy comedy that is genuinely a good watch, despite the mediocre English translation. Her portrayal of Li Wuyou seems to be on a similar wavelength, with a dominant personality and martial arts focus.
Liu Qishuang is gentle, calm, and well educated. She has quiet resilience but never puts herself first.
Yu Sheng has acted in many vertical dramas in the last few years, both modern and historical. Some of her recent ones are not yet available on YouTube and none of her costume dramas seem to be up. There are a couple of modern ones you can watch though including《错惹腹黑总裁》Tempting the Scheming CEO and《甩了妈宝男后打脸全世界》After Dumping a Mummy’s Boy, She Proved Everyone Wrong. As Liu Qishuang, she creates a measured exterior and expresses herself with classical dance.
Mumu (沐沐) – played by Cong Sihan (丛思涵)
Mumu is the player’s maid and grew up beside him. She will do anything except reveal her true feelings.
Cong Sihan has diverse acting credits, including one game. Earlier this year she was in The VIG. If you watched The Helltown of Heaven linked above (seriously, try it), you might have spotted her at the start. She acted alongside Liu Sicheng again in《女特警》Female SWAT Officer (no English) so perhaps that bodes well for their on-screen chemistry. And she was a supporting character in《民俗怪闻录之出马仙》Folk Tales of Chu Maxian. For Mumu, she dials up the naivete as the loyal and younger childhood friend.
Ping Yang (平洋) – played by Huang Ying (黄颖)
Ping Yang was trapped in the cold palace for years, but she escaped and has many secrets to tell those willing to listen.
Huang Ying does not have any notable acting credits yet. It might be that Hua Manlou is her first major role, at 23 years old. She is a model though and has done several photoshoots with if studio, who are based on Dongyang. Her eyes were also used to showcase contact lenses for an eyewear app in China, fortunately when they were still attached. And according to her socials she has played a fair bit of PUBG on PC, so you know she’s been through hard times.
Su Ying was sold into marriage by her family and holds deep resentment. She can be ruthless.
Players might recognize Qian Siyi as she has been in two FMV games. Most recently, she played a slave in The Three Kingdoms: Rebirth. Before that she was an indentured dancer in Rebirth: New Lover. Her character in Hua Manlou has a similar back-story involving servitude. Maybe she has been typecast or secretly wants to serve? In any case, Siyi is the most popular of the six actresses on social media. As Su Ying, she gives off sultry man-killer vibes with deep sadness.
Zong Feiyan is quirky and hates studying, but she likes practical jokes and is a big fan of perfumes.
Shen Lan only has a few credits but they’re decently major roles in historical costume dramas. She played a leading role as a healer in《刚成先天大圆满，就被迫当皇帝》No sooner had he attained the Great Perfection of Innate Realization than he was forced to become emperor. And she was also a main character in《花前喜事》A Joyous Occasion Under the Flowers. Her portrayal of Zong Feiyan appears to be about clumsy high energy and playfulness.
Based on the above, Hua Manlou has talented actresses, some just at the beginning of their careers. Whether that translates directly into great performances in game will depend on the script, directing, and how comfortable they are interacting with the first-person camera.
The game utilizes ADR, where character voices are recorded in a studio after filming, but it seems like all actresses are voicing themselves. A few might be changing their tone, mainly Mumu and Zong Feiyan, or there is some audio post-processing.
Hua Manlou is set to release on August 21, 2026.
