Storytaco have listed their eighth project on Steam. The Serena Villa Files biggest draw is that is has Chinese Actress Wang Han (王涵). She is incredibly popular, at home and internationally, having been in Knowledge or Know Lady and Love is All Around 2. It stars four other Korean actresses.

Wang Han plays Sohan
Sohan, your childhood friend, was your protector back then. You never thought you’d get to see her again after losing contact once, but here we are now! Beautiful new memories start blooming between the two reunited souls.
Quite how much Storytaco paid to get Wang Han, which likely includes somebody to help with translation on set, is anybody’s guess. Storytaco has teased her appearance for a few weeks now with shots of her from behind. And Wang Han did put up some videos of her dancing with the other cast members.
Two of the other cast members have been in FMV games before. Maxim model Winter is in the upcoming To Hot To Be True. Lee Yeon-woo was in the lewd Eternal Rebirth: Curses of Love and she plays an employee at a lingerie company. Some of the game was filmed at Estella Cafe in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, as confirmed by an earlier overhead shot.
Since there is no trailer yet, it is hard to speculate about what language Wang Han will be speaking. It is rumored that it will be Chinese with the others speaking native Korean. Presumably the male lead speaks both languages. This is one case where Storytaco’s typical ADR makes practical sense as it might be tricky to schedule a multi-lingual voice actor on set if it was live recorded. But no mention of China exists outside of references to the actresses, so hopefully her voice is not dubbed.

There will also be a few cameo roles:

Team Leader Sung Jun-hee from Heroines Through My Lens,
and Qiao Zhien, a hot and rising Chinese FMV star!
The game is from the same production team that gave us Heroines Through My Lens, arguably Storytaco’s weakest game so far, so hopefully there are improvements across the board. Having Wang Han should at least elevate the cast and the story appears to have more to it than looking at women and taking photos.
The Serena Villa Files is due out in Q4 this year, so expect it around November.
