SubZero was due to release at 8:00 UTC on May 15, but unfortunately it looks like players will need to wait just a little bit longer. Due to a technical issue, the launch has been pushed back. The developers still believe that it will launch today, but have not given a timeline yet.
We are very sorry to inform you that during the final pre-release stability check of all versions, SubZero encountered an unexpected and hidden technical anomaly. To prevent serious issues such as crashes, freezes, or functional errors that would affect your gaming experience, we have decided to postpone the launch time.
Our technical team is now working at full speed to locate and resolve the issue. We expect to complete the fix and launch the game today. The exact release time will be confirmed once final verification is stable, and we will notify you immediately via Bilibili, Douyin, and our official QQ group.
This is the fourth delay for the game although this one probably won’t be as long as the others. Depending on the issue, the game might not even launch today.
In the meantime, you can watch the lead-up videos from the three heroines (translated).
Edit: 2026-05-15 12:00 UTC. The devs have just issued another update and the news is… not good at all. Despite 3 major delays, apparently the game’s content is not up to their standard.
We are sorry. We deeply regret to inform you that SubZero, originally scheduled to launch today, will be delayed.
During the final pre-release review of the full version, we found that some content still did not meet our ideal standards. As the development team, we miscalculated the release timeline. We wanted to bring the version closer to what we consider “perfect,” so we continued to make adjustments and optimizations, ultimately failing to finish on time.
…
Going forward, we will conduct development transparently and accept supervision from everyone. The team will start public live streams for testing and adjustments until the version is stable and officially launched. You are welcome to watch our progress and offer suggestions at any time.
Given the talk about live streams and testing, this game sounds weeks away from launch. It is truly remarkable how a team could announce a delay just hours before release and then go on to say it needs content adjustments that require supervision from the fans.
