New trailer for SubZero, releasing in May

There is a new trailer out now for SubZero, it showcases a lot of zombie killing and snow but, most importantly, it lists a new release date: May 15. This is the third time the game has been delayed. (from November to March, from March to April, and now to May).

When a cold snap froze the entire world, three survivors of vastly different temperaments burst into your life. You’ll lead them through this frozen wasteland of an adventure! As zombie groans morph into mournful elegies and blizzards blur the line between good and evil… What awaits ahead – hope or conspiracy? And now, that fate-deciding dice burns hot between your fingers…

Aside from it’s icy setting and zombies, SubZero will also feature three love interests. Molly, Erlinda and Reina (English conversions). Their actual Chinese names are Li Meng (李梦), Meng Kelan (孟可澜), and Lei Na (雷娜).

SubZero will have a dice throwing mechanic that is influenced by your choices, as you can acquire injuries that will reduce your chance of success when rolling.

The game was originally delayed in November because the developers were unable to get the demo listed with Steam’s Next Fest. It was then due to release on March 6, just after the next Next Fest event. It was delayed to April 14 via a tiny Douyin update, but it missed that target without any updates.

This new trailer is the only piece of news that has been released via social media or Steam since March 3, when a wishlist event was posted. It is unclear if the people running the social media accounts are actually the frozen undead, but it seems likely.
