Undercover listed on Steam

A new police drama from Intiny (Love is All Around) has been listed on Steam. Undercover takes place before the handover of Hong Kong (1997) and will feature Academy Award-winning actors and was filmed on location in Hong Kong. It also will have Cantonese spoken language, making it the first FMV with Cantonese. Parts of the store page have been translated below.

Undercover is a hardcore, Hong Kong-style undercover interactive film-game developed by “Xiao You Neirong.” You’ll take on the role of an undercover agent lurking in the shadows, navigating the streets of pre-handover Hong Kong while confronting drugs, violence, and workplace betrayal. This isn’t just a matter of survival—it’s a high-stakes gamble with “fate” itself.

[Ultimate Realism: Unflinching Filmmaking and Acting, With No Limits]

The story focuses on Hong Kong’s darkest era on the eve of the handover. Police and criminals colluded, blurring the lines between right and wrong. We offer an unflinching, profound portrayal of this era’s dark underbelly. We reject superficial embellishments, authentically recreating the hardships of police struggles and exposing the cruelty of society at that time.

What about romance? There probably won’t be much, perhaps similar to Rapid Rescue. However the store page does mention three female love interests, along with lots of bromance.

【Emotional Bonds: More Than Just Love—The Romance of Men】

We understand the power of emotional resonance. In this game, you will form deep emotional bonds with three female protagonists, each with a distinct personality. But beyond that, we have focused on portraying the unspoken brotherhood among men in that era—is it the loyalty forged through shared hardships, or the tragic conflict of opposing stances? Is it familial love, romantic love, or the bond of soulmates that transcends life and death?

The store page lists support for English (even though it hasn’t been translated yet). And the game is due out sometime in Q2, 2026. It’s Chinese name is 对不起,我是警察, which translates to “Sorry, I’m a Cop”
