Although Mystery Crown are experienced in the genre, this is the first title from Yingfan Pictures. You can see their note below or read it on Steam.

We are thrilled to connect with you all, and deeply grateful for your interest in our game.

To be honest, this is our team’s first attempt at developing an interactive FMV (Full Motion Video) game—we even had no prior experience in film and television shooting. Yes, we are a group of young, green, and inexperienced creators who built this game purely on passion and sheer grit.

However, blind self-assessment and a lack of experience have led to numerous flaws and even critical shortcomings in the game’s performance quality and play experience. (That said, we sincerely thank every actor, cinematographer, lighting artist, makeup artist, and all other crew members for their hard work during the shoot.)

What we want to emphasize is that our team poured immense heart and emotion into this project. Especially in designing the emotional arcs of each character and crafting their endings, we truly “conversed” with the characters in the script before finalizing the plot. We strived to portray authentic, lifelike characters, each with their own complex, multi-faceted sides. Our hope is that players will encounter characters with rich, genuine emotions. The Tarot cards paired with each ending are also meant to help you better understand the story unfolding in that particular conclusion.

All that said, to those who give our game a chance, please don’t give up on it easily. We ask that you at least play through all endings of one character before making up your mind. If you can, we truly hope you’ll reach the final ending—it holds our most heartfelt design for players.

Lastly, we understand that players naturally choose games they love and believe in. The quality of our work is admittedly lacking, and it may not win the approval of most. Even so, we still hope to hear your feedback and thoughts. Criticism is never a bad thing—it is the most effective path for our growth and improvement.

Thank you once again for crossing paths with us. We look forward to presenting you with even better works in the future!

Like some of Mystery Crown’s other games, the emphasis in this letter seems to be on how the game is not that good, which is a bold strategy prior to release but at least the developers are humble. English support was added to the store page 7 hours ago. It is likely to come out this quarter.
